Loretta Neff, Founder and Executive Director
Loretta has specialized in character and etiquette education since 1994 with clients ranging from children to Fortune 500 companies. Loretta received a BA degree with honors and had her sights on the legal profession. But after being accepted to law school at Michigan State University, she never attended, having found her real passion to be philanthropy through teaching business and social etiquette. Committed to the advancement of numerous charities, societies, and educational foundations, she has taken her philanthropy to another level with the formation of the EW Foundation® (EWF), an educational nonprofit providing award winning character and etiquette educational resources for children and young adults, and fundraising enhancements to charities, missions, and schools. Inspired by her love of humanity and desire to share resources with children who need them most, Loretta is also an award winning children’s book author. Through her books and charitable efforts, she hopes to engage young minds and instill the values that can shape and transform their lives in a meaningful and measurable way.
Elissa Kurland, Treasurer
Elissa Kurland is a certified public accountant with over twenty years of legal and tax expertise. Elissa has served as treasurer of the EW Foundation since its inception. She received her masters of laws; taxation from University of Miami and law degree from Nova Southeastern University. Elissa specializes in all areas of corporate and individual taxation, including partnership, trust and individual federal and state income tax returns, tax research and estate planning, and preparation and review of Audits and Reviews.
Lena Yarina, Secretary
Lena Yarina is Doctor of Pharmacy with over twenty years of pharmaceutical industry experience in areas of hospital, pharmaceutical research and retail. Lena has served as secretary of the EW Foundation since its inception. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from University of Florida. She is blessed to raise two children and is very involved in volunteering at their school and active in the affiliated church. She has volunteered at local hospitals and has participated in local charitable fundraising efforts.
Danielle Ball, Director of Public Relations and Media and Spokesperson
Danielle is a 20-year-old pre-law student from Wellington, FL. She currently attends the University of Florida where she is double majoring in Political Science and News Broadcasting. Danielle graduated as valedictorian from her high school and continues to maintain her high academic standing at the University of Florida. Danielle has maintained high marks since attending University and is a member of the Dean’s List and an inducted member of the Golden Key Honor Society. Danielle is very active on the University of Florida campus, serving as a Campaign leader for UF Student Senate party, President- Elect of the National Broadcast Society, President- Elect of TPUSA at UF, and Assistant Director for the Interfaith Affairs Cabinet of the University of Florida Student Government. Danielle currently works for WUFT News, a PBS, NPR and ESPN affiliate station, as an NPR Morning Edition Radio Anchor and as both a Content Editor and Producer for the First at Five daily newscast. In the future, Danielle hopes to become a national news anchor and eventually run for elected office.Read more
Danielle is also an award winning Irish Dancer. She has been training since she was 10 years old and has competed Internationally. Danielle has performed as an opening number for Florida Riverdance and Lord of the Dance performances. Danielle continues to train nearly 10 hours per week. Danielle loves to Irish Dance because it connects her with her heritage and is a fun way to stay active.
Danielle is passionate about community service and has served specifically with the Ronald McDonald House and similar organizations for 7 years. She is amazed by the loving and caring work that these organizations do everyday for family in their time of most need. Danielle works 4 hours per week at the Gainesville/ Shands Ronald McDonald House as a front desk volunteer. There she helps assist home operations and make sure that families receive the help they need during their stay. Danielle hopes to raise awareness for the organization and gather more volunteers throughout the State of Florida.
Danielle is excited for the future and her year of service with the Miss America Organization as Miss South Florida 2017.
