The EW Foundation hosted its season kickoff with Assouline at the Royal Poinciana Plaza on Dec. 2. The two partnered for a cocktail reception in anticipation of the fifth annual musical brunch, Books, Bellinis and Bel Canto on Feb. 10.

Guests enjoyed cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and signature spritzers called “Proust Society.” Professional musical theater actress Juliette Valle and pianist Dr. Robert Sharon entertained guests with holiday music.

Foundation founder Loretta Neff closed the evening paraphrasing one of Nelson Mandela’s quotes: “A society’s soul can often be judged by the way in which it treats its children. And you have been magnificent.”

The EW Foundation is an educational nonprofit providing character and etiquette educational resources to children and young adults.
